Yesterday 07:24 - Nov 3 with 2017 views | lunatic1988 | We can look at the officials as much as we like but the main concern for me is our game management, we now conceded four goals in added on time in last two games. Huge 4 points dropped if we saw both results out.

Correct but doesn’t take away the fact we conceded goals at them times. 2 of the four goals we’re concerned with 11 men. The two conceded with 10 men could have both been easily been avoided.
Yesterday on 07:42 - Nov 3 with 1888 views | Chrisd | Lunatic, I’ve just posted something similar, I’ve just read your post. I 100% agree. There’s no doubt we have been on the wrong end of some dodgy decisions that’s without question, but we really don’t help ourselves. Even Leicester’s goal there were things we could’ve done better prior to that and they’ve ghosted through our defence untroubled. So, yes I agree we are too naive at times, we need to be a little cuter in how we manage games out to their conclusion to give ourselves a chance. [Post edited 3 Nov 2024 7:44]

Yes i agree , Ref's will make mistakes we cannot control that but we can control and stop the 2 diabolical goals conceded to lose us those 4 points . The late goal at Brentford has been well discussed and was very poor but equally yesterdays one was as bad , Mosey has of course been great for us but his big mistake of throwing himself to the floor to try and win a free kick is just the sort of thing Ref's have been told to be aware off and we all hate it when the opposition do it , for me that's a lesson for him . We must learn from these mistakes re group and improve before it to late remember no get relegated before Christmas .
Yesterday on 08:23 - Nov 3 with 1691 views | Stewart27 | The two things you mention are directly related. Our game management with 11 men was completely controlling a game of football.
Yesterday on 08:55 - Nov 3 with 1579 views | bobbyramsey | We also concede a disproportionate amount of goals in the minutes leading up to half time and just after half time, which must be indicative of something? Poor game management, taking the foot off the pedal, not waking up? [Post edited 3 Nov 2024 8:56]

What grates is that the ref is oh so clever in showing how he is ‘aware’ that Morsy and Chaplin are going to ground too easily yet he was only too happy to give fouls the other way. Like when that Sideshow Bob defender bounced theatrically off Delap in the first half.

Well if he decides that Chaplin went to ground too easily than he needs to watch the incident back as he clearly got wiped out . Also for the second booking of Phillips the ir is no doubt that Kalvin is trying to pull out but the Leicester player still goes down . As for not being consistent well the Leicester keeper takes an age to take a goal kick in the first half taking time out of the game when we are well on top , Ref warns him . Second half Muric gets yellow card for time wasting no warning . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The leicester player doesnt just go down, he does a twirl and squeals like he is shot. For no obvious reason other than to get an opponent into trouble. Awful decision because unless the ref is sure that it was serious foul play, he shouldnt be giving it. And he cant have seen what he thought he saw.

Sadly I joked for the penalty incident that the ref will probably check var and find a way to book one of our players. And he did plus it was one on a yellow already. I bet he was gutted having to blow the whistle after tens mins of injury time before Leicester could score a winner. Just like the Leicester manager said, we won ourselves a red card.

We are generally a pretty fair and honest bunch of supporters on here. I have never before, in 25 years of TWTD forum membership and half a century of following Town heard even one of our fans calling officials corrupt. But since ft yesterday there have been dozens; plus comments like “worst refereeing performance and officials decision-making I’ve seen in 50 years”. Sometimes when it waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck you’re going to come to the conclusion that it is a duck.

the thing is if you & the ref believe Morsey just throws himself to the floor, why isnt it a booking for simulation ? do you think the way the ref was in the last 15mins he was shy of showing a yellow card to any of our players ? didnt book him though did he, so the ref didnt think it was a foul, even though he was awarding those types of fouls in the first half, and it wasnt simulation, so the ref believes for no obvious reason Morsey just tripped over.

Just to confirm that yes I do belive that Sam goes down too easily and the Ref was right to play on . One of the few crucial decisions that he ,the Ref, got right .
