Well the King and Queen would have been there the same or next day if it was in the UK not nearly a week later.

like the queen did for the aberfan disaster. not nearly a week later but 8 days later. also only visited lockerbie years later

forensic experts say footers and spruces fingerprints were not found at the scene after the weekends rows

Yet millions of working class people, will still puff out their chests and sing GSTK. Unbelievable, isn't it?

6 days before she visited the scene of the Ladbroke Grove rail crash. I attended that crash and saw the devastation and death it caused.

I wish I could find it, but I saw a cartoon of William as a slum landlord which was excellent.

It feels as if there's been a decent shift over the last few years. I can't imagine that an institution such as The Times would have been quite so critical whilst Liz was about.

The cracks are starting to appear. The Beeb will be the big one. If/when they turn, I dare say things might gather pace.

When you see pieces like this coming out, with the reaction to it on social media you can certainly sense a turning of the public. But it isn’t the groundswell it needs to be https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/news/the-royal-family-is-charging-the-rnli-to-

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Charles snuffs it.

Liz was an interesting one because, thanks to her time in the role, it was a real era-defining/ending moment, which gave a little bit of credence to the Establishment's stance that "now is not the time" for a discussion on the future of the monarchy.

If Charles doesn't find himself enjoying the same levels of approval as Liz, and ends up being more of a caretaker monarch, the end of the third Carolean era might be seen as a better time to have some grown-up discussions.

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

And then we have William jetting halfway round the world in a private plane so that he can lecture us all about the harm of fossil fuels, and advocate for renewable energy, such as, for example, offshore windfarms.

Which pay his family for the right to lay their cable.

If he was an MP, or even just a trustee of a charity, he would have to declare an interest.
