Striker In January ... but who?! 14:55 - Nov 25 with 6404 views | Bellevue_Blue | It's obvious Ali needs game time and equally we need someone to offer us more off the bench in Jan even if Hirst is fit, but who?! - Latte-Lath - Do we have the money/ would he want to leave Boro? - Lyle Foster - Injured again and just 1G/A this season for Burnley - Elijah Adebayo - Terrible start to this season but fits do it all CF mould - Evan Ferguson - Will he be available on loan? Started just one league game and has otherwise been limited to 5/10 minutes off the bench - Marc Guhi - Limited to just one appearance in the league but would he fit club culture? Interesting to see Broja still yet to make an appearance for Everton so that decision is certainly vindicated! [Post edited 25 Nov 2024 14:55]

Boro are starting to fly at the moment, can't see Gibson selling him in the winter because have a massive chance of promotion and he'll still have that same value in the summer

Desperate back up required for Delap in the January window. When Ali came on late in the game he looked clueless and just running round in circles

The reports from the south coast have suggested that Brighton want to send him out in order to get a good amount of game time, whilst he would most likely be coming here to relieve Delap at about the 60/70 minute mark. Given how displeased Brighton were last season at how Sarmiento was used in the same way, I can't see that they'd trust us with another of their players for whom the intention of a loan would be to get them serious game time. |
If I were them, I would rather he was part of our 60/30 rotation in the PL under a genius like McKenna than going and playing in the Championship. Not sure I really see the benefit of that when they already know he can cut it at PL level.

If we could pick up a striker currently warming the bench for a top-flight club in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe or South America that would be a good deal for both parties. Don’t shoot me for saying it but a Pukki-like player. |
Might have forgotten we're in the Prem

Is going to an already doomed club really going to help his development?
