Appreciate your sensible reply Ned without resorting to calling me a bellend! Maybe I'm not thinking best way. I dragged myself to a bar in Thailand to watch last night despite feeling like sh1t and was really pissed off with that result. I do think however, it's odd that a finger never seems to get pointed at KM after these poor results. People were quick to point the finger at every manager who has gone before when things weren't going our way. I just find it odd that if you dare to criticise KM (who may I add has been considerably backed by the club), then you're shot down in flames. People are quick to call out individual players and mistakes. But nobody seems to want to have a look at the manager maybe getting things wrong. Yeah he's had an amazing couple of seasons in league 1 and championship and he deserves huge credit for that, but if we want to stay in the premier league then a big turnaround is needed |

A lot of valid points. McKenna definitely can't be immune from criticism just because of the amount of good will he has in the bank is insane. Perhaps McKenna still has a lot to learn and isn't quite the finished article managerial genius he's been built up to be, but he certainly deserves time and a proper chance with us in the prem. No, I don't want him sacked but I think it should be OK to criticise. He's not beyond mistakes. People get on Muric"s back for ill judged passes out or Leif Davis for being too far forward and not doing his defensive work or Clarke for lacking an end product, etc but it's KM and his team who are coaching the players. Besides, yesterday wasn't about individual mistakes (apart from maybe 3rd goal). It was about being tactically beaten by Newcastle who dominated in every area. |  |

Look let's be honest here.
KM is a good young manager. He comes across as a great develop of a player. Great man manager and speaks well. His coaching is of a very high quality.
We saw in games v leeds last season alone he's very stubborn with only playing his way. It was probably a sign of what was to come as leeds effectively played a temp that suited the prem compared to other sides in the league.
He's been helped by excellent recruitment by cook in league 1. We're now seeing the start of a KM recruited side. That's another level that KM Is learning.
Its not KM out. But its not KM has a free pass. He shouldn't get one. No manager should. If he's not under pressure why is he gonna bother trying something different? | |
