Poor set of results so far for us 19:26 - Dec 26 with 1998 viewsDublinBlue84

If Leicester get something tonight Looks like we're really going to need at minimum two points from next two games and even that may not be enough.

Poll: Should Davis have been sent off?

We're going down I'm afraid,
Wolves looked half decent before we played them,
Palace were never going down,
To save this we need to turn a lot of the nearly games, villa Fulham Bournemouth, we've wasted so much

We’re half way through the season and we’re in the mix.

Get a bloody grip man.

I hate to tell you this but occasionally teams at the bottom will win a game.

We need to be better than three teams to stay up. Obviously Leicester and Southampton are reasonable targets to usurp. But who else is there?

We need a basket case club with form going through the floor because I realistically don't think that we can do it on our own. Man United may be our best bet!

It shows what winning two in a row can do.

Of course.

Let’s see if we can do that in the 21 matches that remain.

Could do with upsetting with one of the big boys over the next week. I don't really mean a draw either.

Wolves look like they'll be fine now, which is pretty bad news for us.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

We might be within touching distance, but by the time our tough run of games is up we may not be. If we had a couple of easier fixtures ahead of us I'd have more faith.

If Leicester get anything tonight and we get nothing from Arsenal and Chelsea we could be a couple of wins adrift which bearing in mind we've only won twice all season, is considerable.

If we finished above Man Utd to stave off relegation and sent them down that would be the best thing that ever happened anywhere.

Yes. But need to win at least another 5 or 6. Not going to happen.

Just about hanging on to a chance by our fingernails is how I’d put it. A lot of football still to be played of course, but we simply have to have a better second half of the season to take that chance.

“Wolves look like they”ll be fine”??..they sit outside the relegation zone on goal difference only and have beaten both Leicester and United who are in very poor form.

They've won the same amount of games in the last 4 days as we've won in 4 months.

Leicester have 4 points from the last 4?

Impossible to know though whether Wolves have turned a corner or they’ll lose the next 10. It’s not looking good for us though. I’m at the point where realistically it’s more likely we’ll be heading back to the Championship. Any expectation of staying up is based more on hope than any evidence.

Agree. Going tomorrow expecting a hiding but preying for a result. Like Spurs....

I think we will -

1. Key players returning 🤞🏼from injury

2. Jan window opening in 6 days - loans if not permanents

3. Every lowly team can inflict surprises/shocks on normally 'superior' opponents eg us against Spurs)

4. (Controversial!) Either Muric's ricks stop or Walton/Slicker will get a chance.

5. We've learned a few things about the Prem and are more streetwise now.
