Of the four of us chasing it, one has now finished and the other two are both on 90, so we said we’d all try and finish at Bromley in April and make a day of it. It’s a job trying to fit them in around our games, although that said, today is the first of four consecutive Saturdays where we don’t have a game. Both next week and the week after none of my remaining teams are at home, then on 18th Jan I’m taking eldest daughter back to uni so I can’t do a game then either. Hoping the 4th round of the cup presents an opportunity to tick another one off, and also the next set of tv fixtures. Trouble is, the less grounds you have remaining, the less opportunities present themselves.

I’ve always liked Anfield, and of the “new skool” stadia, I like Spurs’ new ground. Of the rest, I quite enjoy visiting the L1 and L2 clubs… genuine football fans who love their clubs, and follow them through thick or thin… you don’t support Accrington, or Barrow, or Crawley etc for the glory!

Any tips on where to park? Or just look for street parking nearby?

67 for me, but I don't include neutrals. Only v Ipswich. Emirates was a new one yesterday. I was working away last time we played there. Hoping for a cup draw away somewhere obscure......

Have you taken photos at each ground and kept a record of score/attnedance etc? Nowhere close to the 92 - stuck at around 45 - but wish I’d had a camera with me on ITFC away days back in the late 80s and early 90s.

Seems the way to do it to me. Doing the 92 including neutrals seems a pretty easy task

81 are with Ipswich of the 88 I’ve done. Including neutral games is easy if ground-hopping is all you do, and there are some out there that do. But when you have an ITFC ST and go to a healthy number of away games, plus have a family, including neutral games still makes it a challenge…. I’ve never been to a new ground at the expense when we’ve been playing at the same time. Including grounds which are now non-league, old grounds and those in Europe, I’m on over 130.

I’ve taken photos at some of the more recent ones and I’ve got an app where I’ve recorded the date I’ve been to each one. But it was only possible to complete that as I keep a record of ITFC games I’ve been to, including date, score, our scorers, number of times I’ve seen each opponent and been to each ground. Of our scorers, Conor Chaplin has made it in the top five recently, and is fast closing in on second place.

That's excellent! When did you start if you don't mind me asking? I started in the very late 60s, but I've had to delete a few due to teams moving grounds, so only just catching up again with the likes of Man City, Arsenal, Spurs etc, then work, family, etc intervened which curtailed both home and away for a while.......

I've heard of a ground hopper who doesn't count games in which there isn't a goal. He'll have to go back again.

I suppose technically I started in 1983 when I went to my first Town game. But my first away game was 1st Jan 1990, and completing the 92 seemed like the holy grail to the 15 year old me and the mates I went with. As the years went on, by the mid / lates 90s I was doing two-thirds / three-quarters of our away games, plus in the 00s, my bro-in-law started playing L2 / Conference level, so the grounds were racking up. Then for a long while I was stuck in the early 70s as family life restricted away games, but us going into L1 coincided with kids being old enough to not need such a close hand, I started to pick up the thread again. Suddenly we were all in the early 80s, so it’s been a case in the last couple of seasons of trying to knock off the remaining ones in between Town games.

There’s plenty out there who have their own rules. We follow the guideline that it has to be a first team competitive game (so no pre-season friendlies, concerts etc), and it must be the current ground of the team in question. The real anorak ground-hoppers who don’t follow a specific team decided the 92 is too easy, so having completed them, they then work down the pyramid. And to make it more exciting, they introduce rules such as must see a goal, or touch the match ball or goodness knows what.
