possibly but do they add the sufficient quality to step us up?
There's a reasonable argument for someone who can challenge Delap who is better at the hold up play side, a right winger with more quality and a right back who defensively resilient

We don't need a challenger to Delap. We need someone who can start or do 20 minutes from the bench with Delap doing the same. Hirst can do it, but as we've just seen, if one of them gets injured or suspended, we're knackered. If we had three, then we have a challenge and a headache for McKenna. | | | |

It depends how good your scouting is, I like Delap and he is a real force of nature but he isn't great at everything, that's where another striker who can hold the ball up and pin sides back physically rather than simply just the wrecking ball approach
In my opinion, Delap is probably an inside forward really who will grow into the 9 role, perhaps not getting another striker in August accelerated that but he certainly needs another striker who can push him, support him or simply take the strain off him with 20 - 25 minutes to go | |
