KMac's level of detail in training...shoulder depth! 15:17 - Jan 3 with 3783 viewsjasondozzell

None of this should surprise us after what we've seen of him since he arrived but he's a football genius. Would kill to watch a training session.

Wow!

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Apparently, he gets them all to measure and weight their tackle, as the centrifugal forces of swinging sweetmeats can upset their centre of gravity when turning or rolling a defender. And obviously as things contract in the winter and expand in the summer, they have to re-measure every month. They make quite an event of it from what I’ve heard - a big reveal, a bit like the weigh-in for these diet shows.

Def info!

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

😁😁

The natural follow on from Hurst's weigh ins?!

Ha! Yes, but with a twist

Genuinely read this as real thinking you meant the other kind of tackle until I got to sweetmeats.

Poll: We recruit two strikers, one has to be Bonne or Wickham, who would you have?

On a serious note, was interested to hear him say players' sleep levels after the Chelsea game weren't quite what they should have been/normally are post-match, so assume they're asked to monitor their sleep via an app?

Poll: Town's most cultured left foot ever?

To be fair I think that result kept most of us up that night

That caught my eye as well and I was wondering if that was the case! Presumably nothing is left to chance in terms of data re fitness, training load etc. I wonder what they do about sleep. In the older football days you hear about injections, sleeping tablets etc to help players sleep when away. Presumably it's all moved on from that now and much better.

Must be tough in a way meeting be a professional to be being monitored all the time. Days of the Arsenal Tuesday night club style antics long gone!

Yes, quite, not sure I'd like it - shades of the Truman Show - but I guess worth it if you're a 21stC Prem footballer!

Yes! I imagine the excitement of playing plus the weekly wage makes it all more palatable...

Although presumably Harry Clarke must have broken the app after his 3 days in Isaacs after promotion...

Been thinking about this and although he was doing it already, can see how this kind of detail has been important to Morsy. He is so good at receiving with back to goal, closing his shoulder so he can't be dispossessed, then spinning off and turning the player pressing him. His signature move really! Still working in the prem!
