No, chest is clear. I smoked from 14 to 31, but now 50 so been 'clean' for 19 years.
Dr thinks its caused by post nasal drip and acid reflux, apparently I have an 'inadequate sphincter', which isn't something you want to be told by a female GP. | |

I’ve developed one this year, just as the Christmas holiday hit - mother insisted I have a bottle of cough medicine when I went back. Stuff tasted vile, but whenever I used it, it felt like the cough reduced.
Always been convinced cough medicine is a con, but maybe they’ve made a breakthrough? |  |

I'm not sure if it's prescription only, but mometosone spray helps me massively with post nasal drip.
I am asthmatic, so it is one thing that is prescribed for me. |  | | |

The human body has over 50 sphincters.
I too have acid reflux. A burp can contain stomach stuff (bacteria and the like) which infects the throat on the way out.
I got prescribed Gastro-Resistant capsules called Omeprazole.
They work a treat. |  |
