Theatre ticket booking advice pleeeease 17:09 - Jan 8 with 1232 views | Bent_double | OK luvvies, I'm not much of a theatre-goer myself, but it's the girlfriend birthday next month and I want to book tickets for the Tina Turner musical in London. I've checked out a couple of websites and the prices all seem similar (and by that I mean eye-wateringly expensive), but anyone got any suggestions for good sites that maybe even do discounted tickets? I'm also booking tickets for Abba Voyage (even more eye-wateringly expensive), but looks like going direct to their own ticket-booking site is the best bet, unless anyone knows different? PS, this is all top-secret, so no telling anyone, eh!

They used to just be on-the-day but now you can book ahead of time too. Showfilmfirst can have some good theatre deals too. Looks like they've got TT listed.

A few years ago I took my other half to see ‘Wicked’ - I thought I knew which tickets I wanted but the chap at the ticket office told me that for a lot less money, I could seat just one row in front of the very expensive tickets, for almost the exact same view (but for a lot less money). Once you have worked out what the best official box office price is you can judge whether any agencies are better. I was looking for myself and found fairly good Feb availability - midweek from £20 and weekends from £45. This is Upper Circle but we're not talking the O2 so reasonable views from all seats. If you want Stalls lowest price I found is £95.

Oh yes, there's the old 'where to sit' problem as well. I just looked up a view-from-the seats website for the Aldwych, seems that the view from near the front of the dress circle is pretty good, and mid-week Feb only around £60 each, so happy days.

Try www.getintolondontheatre.com They do a theatre sale for Jan & Feb, apart from half term week. Tina musical is on there I think. Worth a look.

thats very much dependent on the theatre, I think its Drury Lane or the Palladium, could be both really, where the circle is raked steeply like Newcastles ground, so you end up feeling a long way away from the stage, the Regent they are not, plus leg room is still very Victorian sized. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
