. . . shows that sooner or later a club will lose patience with a manager no matter how much credit they held at one stage. Feel for him as large parts of his promotion / PL team has been sold, plus some injuries.

Not sure anyone saw the game earlier in the week but the QPR winner kind of summed up how his luck has gone, proper freak goal to lose to.

They've had no luck this season but ultimately if you lose 15 of 26 games then you're doing a lot more wrong then right.

No doubt Edwards will land on his feet with the next mid-table championship vacancy and deservedly so.

Completely agree - always seemed fairly genuine in his interviews so won't struggle for offers. For context he did manage to lose to Plymouth!!

I have a good mate who’s an avid Luton fan.

He said a few weeks ago that Edwards had lost the plot, plus the board who haven’t invested in players, just the new ground.

According to him they lost their 6 best players upon relegation, yet signed no-one. Their best 4 remaining players have been injured for weeks and they’ve lost10 consecutive away league games.

This culminated in playing their attacking midfielder at right back and their left winger playing as a 10 against QPR.

I feel for my mate . . 😩

I think he is a decent manager. Didn't like the way he left FGR, but that aside, I think he is an ok manager. Maybe mid/top table Championship all day long for me. He had his hands tied at Luton once they were relegated. He will find a decent job.

We went to the match down here over Xmas. They were sh*te. They didn’t appear to be interested in playing much football, so I’m not surprised he’s gone.

Real sliding doors moment for him (and us!) when McKenna turned down Brighton. The rumour was that he was lined-up as KM’s replacement!

With our owners, I think he would be alright. Not as good as McKenna (obviously, not many are) but an adequate replacement should/when we require one. His hands were seriously tied at Luton.
