I am all for a cup run. With less games this year, weekend gaps in the PL fixture list until the semi finals (is that right?), a bigger squad, I think we will be going for it. Imagine a semi final at Wembley - only a few rounds to get to that and a favourable couple of draws makes that very achievable.

Losing to Maidstone, in hindsight, was probably the best thing that could have happened to us last season. |
It was, but then you look at how little we are playing football this year and there is plenty of room for a few extra cup games. Losing yesterday would've done nothing except ruin some confidence and it's another game we didn't win. In a season where we might top out at 8 or 10 league wins, we absolutely should be taking this other games as serious as possible(with some obvious caveats) to get wins in the team. |  |
