Team for tomorrow - prediction on 20:19 - Jan 18 with 1977 views | gsoly | I'd be tempted to throw Philogene in from the start but we are barely going to have any of the ball - is that a game to throw him into? I'd be tempted by: Godfrey, O'Shea, Greaves Johnson, Morsy, Cajuste, Davis Burns, Delap, Omari I know Burns playing right 10 seems odd but his pace and power on the break *should* be valuable. And out of possession he's the best bet we have.
Team for tomorrow - prediction on 20:19 - Jan 18 with 1982 views | pointofblue | I keep flipping on who we'll play in goal. After being reminded of the Bristol Rovers game, I'm going with... Walton Godfrey - O'Shea - Greaves Johnson - Morsy - Cajuste - Davis Hutchinson - Broadhead Delap

Tasty. That has the feel of a 5-2-3 / 3-4-3 (lopsided, as usual) which isn't too much of a stretch from our normal set up, but could be compact in defence, and yet get us higher up the pitch as a full unit as and when we get the chance. Delap could be playing a decoy role with Hutch or Philogene being the out ball when City have over-committed and we've won the ball back. [Post edited 18 Jan 20:32]

Hasn't McKenna put the kibosh on Philogene starting?

He arrived with a niggle in his back apparently and trained on his own Thursday, first session with the group Friday, so it would be a surprise, but we’ve heard this before from McKenna, suggesting that players “will be assessed” and “should make the squad” and next thing you know they’re starting XI.

I’m guessing very similar, but a couple of changes at the back: Muric Godfrey, O'Shea, Greaves, Burgess, Davis. Morsy, Cajuste Hutchinson, Delap, Broadhead

Team for tomorrow - prediction on 15:30 - Jan 19 with 547 views | NeverSayDie | Close but no cigar!! I did wonder if Clarke might get a start, Broady played a lot of minutes this week (that was the trickiest part I was having predicting the front line) same reason I though Woolf would get a rest for Burgess (that and the fact his height would be valuable) but Greaves is a surprise, thought he would be needed for the aerial duels with Haaland, but perhaps he’s struggling after a lot of minutes too 🤷♂️ Johnson makes sense if Godfrey is moved to CB, as Burns seemed destined to have a rest. We all got it wrong, but without knowing the fitness of players, some pretty valiant efforts I reckon!!
