These guys are woefully short of minutes and aren’t going to stroll in and be miracle workers, we need to cut them some slack and adjust expectation levels, but both are very exciting prospects and should undoubtedly give us a bit more going forward 👍

Just saying, let’s back them and see what happens.

Nah, I think you are worrying too much again.

Philogene will be raring to go.

No need for preachy posts. No one is going to be jumping on their backs.

Are you saying they are not fit and can’t play football?

If Piotr Malarczyk can set PR ablaze with skill after coming in on a plane in the morning and play the same day - Then PG and Enciso are more than capable of doing a job.

I thought Philogene looked pretty sharp when he came on against City. Looking forward to seeing what he can do after settling in for a few more days, and not coming in at 5-0 down

I wouldn't worry too much. They don't need to and won't be 90minute men for us, we've got plenty of options to make sure we're able to maintain the high intensity.

Philogene is able to play in the FA Cup too which I imagine we will look to get him 90mins. Enciso will be cup tied but he's been having more minutes of the two anyway.

Thank you for the measured response. Crikey, people are very quick to downvote at the moment aren't they?

You're right, but they're also likely not to be at the top of their game yet, even for the minutes they are involved, but that will come with regular minutes. I was just trying to say, let's not be too hasty to judge these guys from the off, people love to stick up youtube videos etc of new signings, but these are edited from the best moments the players have ever produced and likely at a time when they are seeing regular minutes, performances for us are unlikely to immediately reflect the expectation levels set by such videos, but at some point, we may well see the best of them.

Definitely, they won't be at their sharpest on their first couple of appearances, but we will see flashes of what they can do. It will take a few games for the match sharpness to kick in, but there's a lot of time on the training ground with our Saturday to Saturday schedule to get up to speed tactically and what McKenna wants.
