Final 15 games 22:21 - Jan 25 with 4076 viewsquirkie

I'm only seeing wins against Soton, Wolves and West Ham, and draws against Spurs, Forest, Brentford and Leicester. Total 29 pts.

Always a chance I suppose of a shock win in the rest somewhere, but can't see if after last two games but then again always the chance we get nothing next week.

Not going to be enough is it?

What makes you think we beat those 3?

I'm often not sure what some posters' agendas are, but here we go, here's a definitive answer to all those non-Town fans (not aimed at you, quirkie) or Town fans who are feeling negative for whatever reason:

1. We currently sit neck and neck at the front of what (worst case) might be a four horse race for one survival place.

2. We have got both games against Liverpool and Man City out of the way, indeed all the teams who we have completed both matches against are top half (I think I've got that right). Ergo we have a relatively favourable run in.

3. We have just brought in two or three players who have added quality to our squad, we look unlikely to lose anybody whereas Wolves, for example, may lose Cunha. Our squad improvement in terms of abilities and qualities is better than any of our rivals.

4. We have a SUPERB togetherness and squad ethos, far better than that of any of our rivals as far as I can see, and we have Kieran McKenna to pull all the new arrivals into shape.

It doesn't matter what wins you can 'see', the cold hard evidence puts us in a very good position to survive based on the cold hard facts of where we are now, and where our opponents are now.

Let's keep it simple. I see it as a straight fight between us and Wolves. Think Southampton and Leicester will go, so the only team we need to keep a sideways glance at is Wolves. Finish above them and I think we stay up.

Let's not rule Leicester out. They can go above us today so it's very much a three way fight for one survival place.

Truly impaired.

Assume 35pts, it’s typically been good enough in more seasons than not. 19 more points needed. 5 wins and 4 draws? Possible. Big upturn in him form needed to make that happen for sure.

Currently carving it up in the El Salvadoran top league.

Carrying a bit of a knock, but worth a punt once he’s fit and over the jet lag.

All I’m taking from this thread is that one or two on here should have listened more in their maths lessons at school!

Even 26 points could have been enough last year on GD. Amazingly low really. It always used to be 40 points, which I suppose just shows how much tougher this league is now.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
