Did he offer any explanation as to why that may be? I wonder if it’s because goalkeepers have so much more to think about these days than just keeping the ball out of the net.

Don't see why people think Muric will be in goal until Walton is fit. Has Slicker not signed a contract extension? He has to be given a chance, after all his stats for Scotland 's under 23 squad are impressive. All I know is that Southampton had only 3 shots on target and scored twice because of Muric errors.

The context and balance shows that Muric isnt totally to blame for the result, as some would have us believe.

If it’s the context of our other players’ performances you want, then please try bearing in mind that one upshot of Muric giving away on average a goal a game is that our defenders have lost confidence in him; and that it’s thoroughly demoralising for the whole team when we work our nuts off to score, only for Muric to then peg us back by conceding with a Calamity James moment.
