Your ultimate Premier League 08:56 - Feb 3 with 1130 views | GeoffSentence | If you could choose the twenty premier league teams who would be in it? I'd ditch Bournemouth and Brentford straight away, not meaning to disprespect the excellence of their recent achievements, those two clubs essentially belong in the third and fourth divisions. I do envy how well they are doing now, but for almost their entire history they've both been bottom dwellers. Leeds and Nodge to replace them, obviously the budgies dont deserve it historically or on football merit, they are just there for the derby days. Fulham have to go too, they are are second tier club in my mind, they can get promotion from time to time. Derby to replace them. In my lifetime, if not so much before they've been a top tier club and it would feel right to have them up there. Leicester are another one to go, similar to Fulham they seem like a team who should be second tier, occasionally getting promoted. Cant decide who to replace them with though, one of Sunderland, Coventry or WBA. I think Sunderland get the nod for their crowds.

Objectively not, but from a subjective and personal perspective an ultimate Premier League includes us.

Never going to happen. One way to increase the number of clubs would be to have two divisions of 16 or 18 clubs. Another would be a hybrid version of Champions League set up. 26 clubs playing 8 home and 8 away games with the top 12 going in to fight for the title and the other 14 battling to avoid relegation. Probably also time to restrict the League to clubs with a minimum stadium capacity of 30,000.
