Definitely. Brought in to fulfill a role that Davis’ role inhibits to a large degree, compounded a bit by the fact that Davis in this role has been fairly ineffectual in the Prem. Amazing what a bit of space to operate can do. |  | |  |

Thought Townsend overlapped as usual today and Clarke played him through nicely lots of times - every cross was very forgettable on this occasion though! Unlike against Rovers when Townsend showed real quality. The extra space is a huge difference for sure. Clarke had too much time in advanced positions and was able to boss the game as a deep-lying playmaker when he wanted to. Very exciting for next season dare I say it. |  | |  |
