Stoke fans have really taken to him. They are universally wanting to sign him in the summer so far. Some of the comments:

"Put a right shift in"

"Honest player with decent skill"

"Ball sticks to his foot like glue" - I didn't see that one coming as not his strength.

"Willing to fight and drive the ball forward"

"Class, won't happen but would love him here permanently"

"Good touch, good technique, touch of potential magic"

Nice to see and showing he can more than cut it in the champ. Getting games under his belt and sharper. If we do go down he's a useful squad player and saves us a few quid.

There are dozens of professional clubs. Why stay where you are not wanted?

Quitter? I see myself as a modern Flashman. A poltroon!! Not really. No, I’m actually somebody who doesn’t give up, I’m very much ‘fight not flight’, though people who know me are the best judges of that.

But sometimes you have to move to prove yourself in a work environment.

Edit: I just hated the way he was treated, as I do Muric. I’m not blind, understand the mistakes, fitness issues etc but always felt encouragement cost nothing and was more productive than abuse. You can always make hard decisions later if you have to

Ali needed week in week out football and not at PL level, so despite my pessimistic and probably wrong take, I’m glad he’s doing well and feel he’s in the right place for now.

Bang on the money with your edit.

Quite how some people can claim to be supporters of our club and then go on to give dogs abuse to people doing their job, regardless of the players failings is puzzling to me. In what world is that going to improve us? The only effect that behaviour is going to have is to pile more pressure on a player that's already struggling...

...if you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all!

Another comment on their forum...

"The kind who will thrive with the crowd behind him."

He had the crowd behind him constantly at ITFC.
Only time anyone turned was his inability to run after the ball at Fulham. Let’s not pretend he got any grief other than that

"If I was him, I’d be pushing my agent to get me out at all costs."

And if I was him, I'd want to prove the boo-boys wrong.
I never had you down as a quitter..

Boo-boys 😂😂😂 a few people saying they think he’s crap on a forum doesn’t make you a boo boy. Booing in the stadium does, he didn’t get the treatment here
