I'm not hugely in favour of all the stoppages, but in the context of that particular game, where the ref had previously stopped play, he should have been consistent with Greaves.
We didn't lose the game because of it, but the inconsistency is infuriating. |  |

I know greaves is obviously going to be a good player but at the moment burgess is better at a couple of really important things: winning the ball in the air and passing the ball. You're right - he should have won that ball and he also couldn't find a blue shirt with a pass when spurs put him under pressure, which we knew they'd do.
We've been a bit naive this season in a number of ways, completely understandably given the lack of experience of everyone at the club at the top level, but not recognising our best centre-back pairing when it's right in front of our noses has been a rare mckenna mistake. | |

I think they all the supposed head injuries were feigned, including Greaves', so whilst there could be said to be inconsistency (although it could be said Greaves was out of sight of play and didn't seem initially to milk it), I think (looking at it objectively) that it was the right outcome with the fourth goal. Yes, I am far from convinced that Greaves has been an upgrade on the man we signed for peanuts from Accrington. Sadly the same can be said about a number of positions.
That's a recruitment issue and also a selection issue in my view.
Burgess was MOTM on the TWTD ratings for both the Bournemouth and Wolves games. Admittedly his two league starts since then (Newcastle and Man City) were big old failures, but the difference between staying up and not staying up will not be our results against those teams.
I feel we need consistency of selection and a real team spirit. We can't compete by chucking tens of millions around. |  | | |

The ref didn't score four goals against us but his inconsistency was infuriating at times.
