Didn't Zirkzee and Yoro get yellows for delaying the restart on Wednesday?

If it's that obvious they get booked but refs are far less stringent about it than they were when it first came in.

8 second rule… on 14:45 - Mar 1 with 1522 views | SE1blue | Why can’t we use digital timers like other sports for this instead of the ref counting down? Stop putting this back on the ref. You know players of the keeper’s team will just adapt and be distracting the ref in this moment, causing delays in other ways etc.

There is so much wrong with the application of the rules in football that slows the game down. If the rulemakers were serious about wanting to improve them they could learn a lot from other sports. Some simple examples: Players who are injured should be required to make their way off the pitch for treatment. If they are unable to do so, the physios should be allowed to come on to treat them while the play continues. Clearly, in an instance where there is a serious injury stop the game and the clock timing the game is stopped. If it turns out the player is fine and caused the game to be stopped unnecessarily, automatic yellow card, free kick to the opposition and the player play-acting has to remain off the field for 5 minutes. Referees should not be required to explain their decisions to the players other than by simple gestures that show what the decision is (these already exist). If any player questions the decision, it is a yellow card and the free kick is progressed by 10 yards (or if now inside the area is a penalty) or given the other way if as for the offending side. The reason for changing this rule isn't because the corner is greater punishment than the indirect free kick. It is because referees have shied away from penalising the offence. Why don't referees apply the rules? If players knew where they stand, they would soon stop committing the offences.

8 second rule… on 07:02 - Mar 2 with 850 views | PioneerBlue | I’m in favour of anything that speeds the game up but this doesn’t stop the time wasted by keepers setting themselves for goal kicks or setting and appearing to go short only then to decide it’s time to go long and refs could have managed any of this with their common sense and by waving a yellow cards as easily as they do to other players. A player can be yellowed for preventing restart by kicking a ball away, but goalkeepers can take as long as they want persistently to put the ball back in play from a goal kicks. Refs also now seem to take 30-45 seconds from every corner for the grappling business and now hardly allow any free kicks to be taken early by the attacking team unless the other team has fully reset and is ready. The game is gone.
