What does elite facilities consist of? 17:22 - Mar 14 with 1266 views | RIPbobby | With planning permission approved for the bespoke training ground upgrades. What does 30M actually buy you? That sounds like a huge figure to me. The plans are very vague and doesn't actually state what the facilities are? Or is this a smokescreen to buy players as it doesn't mess up the premier league financial thing?

My point exactly. You can build 10, 3 bed detached houses for 30M. Sounds like lots of pennies to me.

It’s going to be a state of the art training facility with the potential to extend. If you look at the facility MA had built at Bristol it’s a massive upgrade on what we have now. Should massively set us up for future success in attracting, retaining and developing players and coaches

I think if it's investment in the academy then it does not count towards PSR. So I guess that might be the way they pitch it. Hence is it a smokescreen to invest in players?

You could build 100 for 30 million surely.

yep 300k * 100 = 30,000,000. When i calculated it in only did 3M. Doh. Makes the figures for our work even worse.

Leicester spent £100 million in their training complex and that was tears ago. You could probably add 20% to that now. Big infrastructure projects are very expensive these days. Your building a very large building and knitting it all out with state of the art tech (gym etc), Kitchens, swimming pool, high tech recovery room and physio room, theatre type room for team briefings etc etc. All the infrastructure around it (Road surfacing, car park etc etc). Anything pitch related will be expensive etc. Pretty normal figure. I expect it will run over that by the end. I imagine before you put a brick down the architecture and legal costs would have been high. [Post edited 15 Mar 8:35]

No it doesn't. It makes your logic around what things cost worse 😂. Soz
