Haven’t checked on the Bristol City forum Ashton thread for a while. Banter Era 3.0 if they pass us on the way up.

They will self combust when McKenna leaves and we take Manning.

I think they should concentrate on their own on and off field problems instead of worrying about us, a club better run, better finances and more than a fair chance of returning to the Premier League next season. They on the other hand have a squad that can't even get into the top six of the Championship. Have nobody to go to the centre of their pitch and say " Let's be avin you" If you want Norfolk turkeys now you don't go to Bernard Matthews, you go to Carrot Road and they can't even cut the mustard as Colman's has shut.

If we did lose him, Eustace must be in with a shout. Done a great job at Birmingham and Blackburn and now put Derby in a position where they have every chance of staying up.

Depends on if we have a game model that we want our managers to follow. Eustace is a very different manager to McKenna.

On that subject, I think there's a weird Norwich under Farke scenario where you can play decent football in the Championship but then try it in the PL and fail

I almost think it's gone in reverse now, in the past the footballing sides tended to have a better chance of going up and staying up, I actually think you have a better chance of staying up by being direct and physical now

Luton were like that and gave a better stab of it than us, be it that they are now a total mess now

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I mean Norwich's new manager has a lot of the principles we're after as well... and he would leave them for us in a heartbeat haha

Not saying we should, but it would be funny.

When I saw them earlier in the season and they were actually going well, it did look a very similar approach to McKenna

From what I have briefly seen of them though, they seem fairly obsessed with possession and having a lot of it, when you see their stats they seem to have more possession each week but it's all a bit pointless if it's zipped about in safe areas

They look pretty clueless in the final third and seem to have regressed on their early season form

What's worse is they're running out of assets they could resell for a decent return, only Sergeant and Sainz seem to be the obvious candidates for that now

I don't think they have officially sold Rowe yet, I think that's a loan deal?

Every year they don't have parachute payments, it's only going to get worse too

Norwich fans are quite bullish about their chances with us next season but they're side is poorer on paper than it was last season. We should be fairly confident going into those games.

Our problem is we're cursed against Norwich, even in the home fixture they got two seemingly offside goals and some of our top performers had an off day. The away fixture was sod's law during a sickness/injury spell. If we'd have been fit that could have been ours also.

We just need to beat them twice next season, just to put the thing to bed.

Why on Earth would we want him? I think we’ll have our sights set much higher than any of their mid table dross.
