Seems to have turned into more of a primadonna even since the summer. I find very little to like about him these days.

I thought it was just me. I know everyone raves about him (and he is a great player), but I’ve always thought he comes across as an arse. He seems very moody/angry/surly. He’s got the world at his feet, the least he could do is seem happy about it lol

Does this mean that buying Championship players is okay after all?

No idea as we didn’t buy him.

I would say that his physical size would likely have helped him make the step up quicker than the small players we recruited from that level, possibly

We’ll be good again... one day

I don’t hate confidence, I dislike arrogance. There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance—confidence inspires others and is rooted in self-belief, while arrogance often alienates, stemming from a need to prove superiority. Jude Bellingham, for all his undeniable talent, occasionally treads this line and that is what I don’t like.

He plays and acts like he is the best player on the football pitch. The way other players in the England squad talk about him he is clearly a massive influence on the group and I would say most seem to be inspired by his drive and mentality.

Of course everyone has their own opinion I have just always found with the England team and I think English sport in general is that anybody who shows extreme confidence and acts like they are the best are criticised.

The good thing about sport is if someone talks a good game they are going to get found out. But Bellingham talks the talk and is more than walking the walking. Good for him I say.

The thing is, most football fans only see one-side to how a player is and that is their on-pitch persona. And that tends to encompass being incredibly competitive in a highly charged and emotive setting.

Many people behave differently whilst at work to how they are in their free time. And by all accounts he is meant ti be quite a nice person off the pitch.

Now this I completely agree with. As I said somewhere else on this thread, he is probably a lovely chap, I just can’t warm to his on-field persona as that is what I see.

I also don’t think he would be particularly bothered about my view of him.
