On the surface, this seems like a great breakthrough:

Essentially they have used perovskite (which is an affordable material) to create totally transparent solar panels with ~12.5% efficiency. That is not as high as standard commercial solar cells but given you could incorporate these into the glass sections of offices to generate power is something worth pursuing.

Having said that, lets not be too hasty. It can't have escaped everyone that March has been glorious, in and out like a lamb.
I've been thinking. What with the weather being nice, but lets face it, not as warm as we would like. Do you think it might be an idea to halt the transparent solar panel project for say, 20 years?

I’m sure I read the design of MUFCs new ground (that see through circus then thing) was a giant solar panel.
Might already be something in place, but I think any new build of anything should have panels included in the design. |  |
