Cheers - will just have to sit and wait and hope they come out of the theatre quickly!

She’s in the Marina Theatre.
I’m in the spoons near the station.., (needed WiFi for a bit of work) - we’re staying overnight Corton end of town near Sparrows Nest

There's a decent greasy spoon near Sparrow's Nest, Lighthouse Diner, not quite fish and chips but you get a decent fry up

I think it only takes cash

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

You could collect the chips first and then pick them up and eat them on the front?

Thanks for your help on this… they came out of the theatre at about 8.45, so we went straight there and made it in time. The guys in there were very friendly and said they were happy to cook anything they didn’t have if we wanted it, even though they’d started cleaning down. They were asking Yasmin what she’d been in at the theatre and said it sounded as though she’d done well. (Anyone on here that’s met her would understand they had to listen to quite a lot of her chatting by asking but didn’t seem to mind!)
They even chucked in the last pie they had, as ‘otherwise it will just get binned’.
Food was nice, and customer service excellent!

Nice one.
It's actually the closest chippy to me but we don't often use it! Perhaps we should.

To be honest. I only had a handful of chips as well as one of the pies at that point just to show willing, as I'd been to The Dolphin earlier on and had a portion of chips there for a late lunch.

In terms of chips, I'd say the Dolphin ones were nicer (although whether that might've had anything to do with how late we'd got to Oulton Road I don't know).

As GeoffSentence says, worth going late if you're going for pie as you might get a bonus!!
