You seem to have done an about turn since attacking JK Rowling last week?

It's not, though. It's precisely the same argument that the GC bunch are making - the presence of the odd bad actor should mean that ALL transgender men and women should be forced to use the facilities of the gender assigned to them as birth. CISHET individuals are just as capable of doing these things as members of the trans community. It's a massive farking irony that one of the most vociforous members of the GC movement has been convicted this week of the precise same sort of thing that she was screaming about as reason for the case being put before the Supreme Court.

Genuine question as I haven't got a clue but what does GC and CISHET mean? No agenda genuinely don't know what you're talking about.

Apologies! GC - Gender Critical - basically put, those who believe that biological sex is the be all and end all when it comes to discussions over gender. CISHET - it's basically the catch-all term for straight people identifying as the sex assigned to them at birth. CIS being from the Latin for 'on this side'.

You've explained my down-arrow for me, thank you. It's like citing, for example, the recent arrest of Labour MP Dan Norris to paint the entire Labour Party as exactly the same. [Post edited 26 Apr 12:40]

Entirely different circumstances. Dan Norris wasn't arguing, vociferously, for restricting the rights of certain sections of society on the basis that they posed a grave and immediate threat to women and children. This nonce was.

Different circumstances, same principle - one person's actions doesn't define the entire movement they claim to represent. Just because trans-activists go around with placards calling for jk rowling to be hanged i don't join a team and say the other side are wrong, i try and navigate towards the truth.

"the gender assigned to them as birth" - you mean their sex. the supreme court is very clear we're talking about biological sex. people at birth have a sex which is observed. facilities aren't segregated by gender but by sex. there are no exemptions in the equality act for facilities to segregated by gender, the only exemptions relate to sex.
