For all his solidity in the majority of his decision making he's pretty pants at dealing with crosses, isn't he?
It probably won't be a popular point of view but I don't think he is a massive upgrade on Muric. He was clearly in good form for his first few games but I think he's been rather average since. I honestly don't think there is much between Muric, Palmer or Walton. They all have positives and fairly big negatives too. |  | | |  |

I have a feeling that Muric will come good for us next season. That's if we don't loan him out somewhere. Statistically our results have got worse since Palmer got here. I am sure there is a lot more behind that stat, though. |  |

He's consistently glued to his goal line when crosses come in though. It's something I noticed as soon as we signed him. I wasn't sure initially if it was just that he was unsure of his defence but it's not changed. Also, his form meant that he was initially dealing with the resulting header/shot, but now that's not really happening it's really going against us. | | | |

As I've said in another post this week, I'd prefer Palmer/Muric/Slicker to Palmer/Walton/Slicker next season.
Muric has a lot of great attributes, he just needs to sort out his consistency, communication with the defence, and his self-confidence.
Walton and Palmer are too similar. Muric on a good day is really great. First choice. Palmer/Walton are very solid, but not first choice if Muric is cooking on gas.

Aside from Hladky probably doing no better than Muric, I don't think goalkeeping has been the only or even the main factor in our relegation. | |

Yup, it was definitely the correct decision to drop Muric.
I too think that Muric is potentially the better of the the 3 and I'm hopefully that he'll go on to emulate Hladkys 2nd season with us. A lot of people that were disgusted with Hladky leaving were also thinking he was useless only 12 months prior due to his poor 1st season. Some need to remember this before writing off much of the signings made this season. | | | |

Hladky is woeful. He's played a few times for Burnley this season and been dreadful. |  |
