India have also struck inside Pakistan in Punjab and Pakistan are claiming to have shot down two Indian jets.

Hopefully everyone will calm down and talk.

I think it's very unlikely to have been pre-arranged. But is perhaps more limited (at this stage) than some of the options.

I do think a peace conference with Mushtaq Ahmed representing Pakistan and Rahul Dravid for India would get further than most politicians would. Two very decent people.

Unfortunately it seems this conflict might be escalating.

Both sides are saying that their military bases have now been attacked by the other side.

Some rumours from Pakistani sources that on Wednesday night there were 125 jets engaged in dogfighting which would be the most for a very long time. Need more confirmation on that though.

Not ideal at all, need some cooler heads to get involved and negotiate.
