x3 25/26 Kits to be unveiled at the x3 Ed Sheeran gigs…? 11:38 - May 7 with 1512 viewsMatt_Netherlands

Surely it’ll be a shirt released per gig, by him wearing it? Might not be the case given he’s not the sponsor, but still a big PR opportunity

Last year the kits were released on 6th July so this is only a few days later.

As we’re not in the premiership is it possible that Ed is still a sponsor?

I did think that - but surely then the club are missing a trick by not being able to sell them at the gigs?

They seem to be going in hard on the third shirt in connection with the gigs, and it's not had its price reduced either. Maybe that's the one they're going to be selling as merchandise?

You ain't a beauty but, hey, you're alright.

I suppose a few things are:-

Ed Sheeran isn't sponsoring Ipswich next season so I guess the shirt will have less appeal to his fans?

Also, I'm thinking the pink shirt might be used next season as its not been reduced like the other 2 shirts in the shop?

However It is still probably a good opportunity to advertise them at his gigs.

he might not be the main shirt sponsor anymore, but he is an investor, I imagine he can do whatever he wants and the club will be very happy with the publicity, as will the clubs other sponsors.

Id again assumed merch would be in the form of the pink shirt with a triangle, as thats the thing hes pushing now the symbols never ending tour is finally over, is it ?

and of course he'll wear the new kit at some stage during the weekends gigs, our first pre-season game will literally be within the next week wearing it,and only a month to go till the new season.

If Ed isn’t the main sponsor next season, the pink kit will have to have the new sponsor on the front.

There's a possibility that a limited edition "Play×ITFC" home shirt might be out for that weekend, like he did in 2019 for his Divide gigs in Chantry Park.

Poll: Should we go for it in the January transfer window?

I think this unlikely as he won't be the sponsor on any shirt. We are still selling the pink one full price and suspect that is because it's linked to his album so will generate extra sales. He will want to be selling his merchandise to get the revenue stream
