I think the expectation is still that they get Cat 1 status this summer while the old buildings are still being used. The upgrade from Cat 2 to Cat 1 is mainly things like extra staffing, processes. player care, etc | |

It could also be that it's waiting on a specific condition being met. E.g. For Cat 1 status you need certain job roles filled. It could be that we've made the appointment but the individual is still working their notice with their current employer and once in role the condition will be met.
The fact that decisions for other clubs have either been accepted or rejected suggests that as long as we meet a criteria then it will be granted. | |
