This week the UEFA Nations League semi-finals are played, Sunday is the final and there is even a '3rd Place Final' Sunday afternoon. Over the coming days there are international World Cup qualifiers, next week the U21 championships start and later in the month the Club World Cup begins. Talk about saturation football! No wonder players are tired.

I love football but other than the EFL, snippets of PL, World Cup and Euros I don't watch any of the other guff. U21 isn't guff to be fair, but doubt I'll watch. Nations League is pants.
Summer off for me. Will enjoy some Wimbledon tennis and Cricket tests v India for my sport fix. Got a few gigs coming up that I'm looking forward to as well.
I enjoy the break tbh.

Exactly where I'm at. Apart from the cricket and tennis.
Unless there is a world cup or Euros, I tune out of football over the summer.
I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.
Then you get managers and players whining mid season, that they can't cope with the workload. Perhaps if they all had a couple of months off in the summer they'd be able to complete the season without moaning how hard done by they are. Just chasing the cash.

I'm looking forward to Cat-racing, synchronised masturbating, and 80/80 rounders this summer.

What gigs you got coming up?
I've got Latitude and Roger Daltrey. I saw Supergrass and Wet Leg a couple of weeks ago. Two superb gigs.
Distortion becomes somehow pure in its wildness.

I’m tired of it as well. It’s too much. End of and nobody will convince me otherwise. Summer is for long, lazy liquid lunches outside the village green pub watching the cricket.
I like it. I don't watch everything but I like having the option.
It does need to be scheduled so it doesn't have the same teams playing all year though. We don't want leagues like the Premier League becoming the B league for the top teams as they chase the money at competitions like the club world cup. There needs to be a mandatory break for players each year.
Then there will be the money making pre-season tournaments around the world, such as the Premier League Summer Series in the USA.
The only summer matches I will watch are the Lionesses' matches in the Women's Euro 2025. Even then they had to play Nations League matches ahead of the tournament.

Glad to hear that Supergrass were a superb gig, they are playing Belladrum at the end of next month and I have my ticket. Difficult for me to justify a thirteen hundred mile round trip to Suffolk the weekend before but the prospect of seeing Air for the first time in a couple of decades was tempting. Also Public Service Broadcasting were excellent at Bearded Theory so I envy you the chance of watching them at Latitude.
Spain 5 France 4. Spain were 5-1 up mid second half. Agree there's too much football after the season ends and players (and fans) need a break but that was a cracking match of attacking football.
