I believe there's a FIFA or UEFA rule on how many days it can be open for - so they are technically shutting it to remain compliant.

In practical terms it probably makes very little difference as the clubs will continue to make deals and just hold off on registering players until the window reopens.

While I agree with palming the door into the shut position to ensure a soft and silent close, a real friend wouldn't allow for a click. They would turn the handle when closing, before slowly releasing back when shut, thus avoiding said click altogether.

I think I'd make a decent burglar.
