That was to have his last game for Leicester at home. He hasn't hit the milestone before the announcement although, of course, Town gifted it to him. |  |

He wasn’t haggling for a move to further his career, just some odd idea in his head that 500 games for an already relegated team rounded off his Leicester career perfectly.
Just surprised his publicity greedy other half didn’t encourage him to make it 501 games, in the hope of some sort of online Mardy Vardy Levi’s jeans advert aimed at grumpy forty somethings.
I certainly don’t want him here because of his age, but he pretty much matched Delap’s goals to games ratio in the top division this season and we were led to believe by many contributors on here that Leicester were a far worse team than us…until it turned out they weren’t.
