I have been meaning to write this for a number of months. My love of Ice hockey has kind of lead to this as I have seen many of these done in North America.
Most of my picks have spent a number of years at Portman Road but my final pic of Dara O'Shea is one that I think will stay here a fair while and will be a modern legend for us. These 25 players are essentially based on 3 teams. The great Burley teams at the beginning of the century, the better players around the one off team Big Mick had and the current period that Kieron has nurtured. I hope a few more of you have a go a this as it is quite good fun and gives you a chance to reminisce over some good and a not so good years. :) I did at one stage have little pin notes about each player, but that made the post huge as there is so much to say about each one. What might be interesting is picking 1 player from each of the last 25 seasons, no repeats. That'll be a proper mixed bag. Only 1 from each top flight season and promotion season, then one from each league 1 season.

And where are Macauley and De Vos? Jackson was actually very well liked by the end but no one realistically sees a player who was was rarely a regular pick in the first 11 to be in the top 25 here surely? I was just going to bring Mowbray up. Definitely didn't play 3 seasons in the last 25 seasons.
If Jackson and Sears are two of our 25 top playing in the last decade, then we've been really bad! It wasn't THAT bad was it?
Broadhead - Not played 3 seasons (2.5)
Scowcroft - Not 3 in the last 25 years.

Good players, but Jim aside, not many technical players.
Stewart, Goddard, Zondervan, Dozzel, Redford, Tarrico, Bontcho, Mcgoldrick, Dyer, Reusser, Baltacha, Dalian Atkinson.
Kiwomya wasn’t very technical, but had 18 months where he was unplayable.
Always grateful to have seen some fantastic players at the club…, if you ever build a time machine, we had periods where technical players teallly thrived.
These players got you off your seat.., the filled you with anticipation…, the sort of flamboyant flair, skill and pure natural talent, that sadly is a little coached out of players these days
Damian Atkinson away at Leeds Utd (not sure the year) picked the ball up wide…, beats one…, beats two…., doesn’t even look up …., launched it in to the top corner from 30 yards.
I couldn’t breathe…, I’d never seen a goal like it live … still haven’t.
