Anyone who can get a full house on this is a certified quiz whizz. 🤓
There are eight minutes to try and identify the 24 commentators from past and present, though do let me know if you think this time limit is too harsh (or lenient). Some of them will be more recognisable than others.
Answers need to be entered into the corresponding highlighted yellow boxes. If you are unsure of one, you can move on to another by selecting a different answer box. Make sure you are on the correct one when typing in your answer — I sometimes make this mistake and it's annoying!
One of the answers was a Welshman, however he commentated on English football.

When I used to run quizzes, one of my favourites was to say "you all associate the 1966 World Cup Final with they think it's all over, but who was the ITV commentator that day"?
I'm disappointed this quiz didn't include Idwal Robling, who won a BBC competition to find a new commentator for the 1970 World Cup. He got in over Ian St John on Sir Alf's casting vote, probably unsurprising given Alf's antipathy towards the Scots. |  |

Apologies, I've changed this so hopefully it should be fine now! His was one of the names I allowed a number of type-ins for given the possibly for misspelling his surname, yet I didn't account for his first name!
