Cajuste every single time.
Looked so comfortable in the PL, such a good footballer. As good as I think Flynn is, I am not sure he quite performed to the levels Cajuste did.

Because he's been absolutely outstanding for us over a number of years, he leads the group, he sets the tempo, he set's the standard with his performances. Even in the PL at 32/33, let alone back in the Championship.
He has 1 year on his deal, which I personally think he will see out before a middle east move for big money.
He has shown no signs of slowing down, if he stays, which I hope he is, he starts, he plays, he captains.
On that basis, we are currently looking for a partner, not a replacement. | | | |

But, in terms of replacing Massimo, one of Cajuste's biggest criticisms from last season was that he couldn't cover the left when Davis went bombing forward; something which Mass excelled at. |  | | |

I think it was more a case of the overall quality we were up against making that part of our game something that was more easily exploited.

Was he injury prone though? He only missed 5 games completely. We had to manage his knee minutes wise, yes, but ultimately he still played 60+ mins (usually 70+ mins) in two thirds of our games. And I think that knee issue is baked into a price of €6.5m. There might be more games in the Championship but most of them will be at nowhere near the intensity. I think he would breeze through a lot of games. A real class act. | | | |
