Away Ticket Profiles 09:47 - Jul 30 with 2961 views | Dennyx4 | I am looking to get tickets tomorrow at the 10+ category, but got me thinking… There can’t be many in the 15+ or 20+ sections, with the majority of last season being in the 25+ or higher. There was a poster that did the profiles, so will be interesting to see how this one maps out.

"It happened a lot" You've given 1 example, where there were c. 100 seats available out of over 1200, and that was in a cup game. We filled every away seat last season in the PL, and apart from Preston, and Blackburn away the year before.

As I said in my earlier post, there’s a search function that will help you to easily find plenty more examples. Here’s another that popped up with a simple search:

That proves nothing of what you suggest in anyway, of which, you are well aware. But as per, here you are doubling down on what you’ve said, which you’ll later try to revise in later threads.

Away Ticket Profiles on 10:13 - Jul 30 by VanDusen | Wait til it hits +15 and +10 as I'm sure the pent up demand for away tickets from all of those moaning last year who definitely want to go anywhere and everywhere and not just Arsenal or Tottenham will see it sell out in 5 minutes... |
We had similar threads for Coventry away last season and then it sold out immediately after hitting the lower brackets Surely all there being lots of availability at this point shows is that all of those people in the higher brackets that absolutely definitely wanted to go to every game not just because it’s Premier League don’t want to go to Preston?

Away Ticket Profiles on 16:16 - Jul 30 by SimonBatfordITFC | It was complained about repeatedly during that season. Appreciated you may be a new poster. There’s a forum search tool in the top right you can use to find old posts. Here’s the first example that popped up when I just searched. Many more. That away end is infuriating. by Matt_Netherlands 28 Aug 2024 21:17As someone who lives fairly nearby and is just short of 15 points, seeing so many empty seats is so disappointing.
Must be a good 100+ empty seats and it’s clear as day why.
I hope the club can get a read out of who didn’t have their tickets scanned, and deduct the point accordingly.
Unbelievably selfish from people. |
So you’re referring to one league cup game last season when the away end was not half empty. The season before (your original post refers to a couple of seasons ago), I cannot think of any game where the away end was half empty in a situation where people bought tickets and didn’t turn up so please do enlighten me.

Maybe 5. Not available to travel most Saturdays so restricted to midweeks and not been able to build points up. Pretty much all of those games were tickets provided at face value by people buying for the points but not attending. It was a known issue before the PL season and it will almost certainly return.

What you're complaining about is fans buying tickets for the points, then not turning up, which has literally happened once (Wimbledon), and it was a minority. The away ends have not been half empty when sold out. That is simply nonsense. The odd person will have something come up and offer it to someone else, but it's certainly not half the away end.

Away Ticket Profiles on 13:08 - Jul 30 by SimonBatfordITFC | Some people have short memories. It happened a lot only a couple of em seasons ago when they’re brought away points in. Games would sell out but half the seats would be empty. Great that the T&Cs cover it but I’ll be very surprised if they actually enforce it. |
But this isn't true is it??

So you are buying tickets off people so they can have the points and you can breach the club rules?

Reading two years ago was the main problem. That WAS an away end meant to have sold several thousand but only about half seemed to turn up. Wimbledon had some spaces too, but Reading the year before was a joke... Missed a very rare Town penalty shootout victory too!
