Broadhead latest… on 15:16 - Jul 31 by Herbivore | I was quite surprised when someone mentioned his minutes to goals ratio from our promotion season to discover that he only played just over half the season for us in terms of minutes. He played 2311 of 4140 minutes, which isn't much considering he only completely missed about 5 matches through injury. He doesn't have the stamina to be a 90 minute player every week and he does tend to be streaky with his form. If we get over £7m for him with only a year left on his deal, that's a very good piece of business. |
Yep, he's been managed masterfully and as a result we may be able to nab £7 million for him, exceptional from McKenna et al.

With Wes still on his way back, Omari gone and Philogene out for a while we start to look light in the attacking area. I’ve seen Ogbene play a couple of times since his injury and I’m not writing him off but he doesn’t seem to have the same ability to beat people like our other attackers do. Broadhead can play on the left or behind the striker so adds a lot to our attack. I actually thought he showed more than Omari in the premiership based on his limited playing time, as much as as I want Omari to stay I really don’t think he’s shown enough to start every week in the Premiership so he’s not the finished article and genuinely think he would be best served with another season in the Championship but his advisers have convinced him otherwise.

Ogbene isnt like our other attackers. Closest would be Wes Burns. When fully fit he is very fit and very athletic lad. Probably the quickest in our team and the division. He is a proper up and down the wing man who is good defensively and beats his man with pace and not a trick. A very good outlet as he will get on the end of balls down the wing and he will put in good driven delivery. He will take some time to get properly match fit and be an excellent option for us. Can see him being preferred in the tough games as he puts a shift in with and without the ball but still offers a threat.
