Most of us know that a player who doesn't want to play in a team normally leaves. Is the gaffer making excuses for him with his mental state quote, if he hasn't gone before the Brum match - do we have him in the line up seeing as he has issues. All this sh*t ain't good for us... KM has been very very honest with us throughout his tenure and rarely uses throw away language. The way in which he spoke about the Omari situation did not make it sound like there was any decision.
“Omari, with the speculation around his future at the moment, he didn’t feel mentally in the right place to come for the game,”
He referred to it as 'speculation' when he could have called it a bid or interest and he said 'he didn’t feel mentally in the right place' placing the ball firmly in his court.
Either way, we need him this week! Broady, Clarke & Ogbene is not enough especially when Chieo hasn't played competitively since October. [Post edited 4 Aug 10:24]

Doesn't need to love the club, just needs to put a shift in every week and be good around the place. Unfortunate that he is trying it on, under instruction of course, but it doesn't necessarily mean he gets what he & his camp want. And if they don't get it, he's hardly going to sit around sulking for a year and royally fcuk his career. He'd have to shake any disappointment off. Town hold most of the cards here, although the flip side is they won't want to visibly be standing in someone's way should an acceptable offer arise. The last part is the key really. | |

Our primary concern is promotion isn't it? He will be the best player in the league and we can't replace him with someone as good. He is also one of a very small number we know can step up should we get promoted too.
I have little sympathy to be honest. He signed a 5 year contract with a release clause/terms he and his agent were happy with at the time. Nobody hit it. So, we need to stay strong. | | | |
