I honestly don't think it was that specific game being played, it's just 1 game and he may not have even been involved in it anyway considering lack of game time pre season and training with new club. I just think they really wanted him, or wanted to try and get us to spend on a perm fee to reduce the amount we have available in our fee pot for further signings. [Post edited 6 Aug 11:59]

Perhaps, although might well have been the case anyway. From what I recall, international clearance can be a bit of a lottery. Sometimes takes a day, sometimes a week or so. | | | |
