Ridiculous luck that both of our left backs are out injured before a ball has been kicked. If Townsend's injury is really bad then I guess we may be looking to bring someone in, but it's not a position that I'm worried about unless Leif is out for a long time, or (god forbid) is sold.
I don't think missing out on Cresswell is the biggest miss of our transfer window. And this is of course only hindsight talking anyway.
Young can come across, or Greaves can play out there. Not ideal in the Premier League, but expecting big things from Greaves this year in the Champ, and he can certainly cover at LB for a while if that's the way KMc wants to go. Obvs plenty of cover at CB, despite Burgess leaving. |  | | |
