Was at that game, remember a handful of their fans coming on the pitch after each of their goals, even though it was just a regular league match. My first experience of the weird, feral element of their support which showed its true colours in the league cup semi final in 2001.

Agree, that day was quite an experience for myself who had only been to a few away matches previously and a prior warning of what was to happen in 2001.
Seem to recall the ref denying both teams rather clear cut penalties.

TBF I remember the homes fans singing to their own pitch invaders "you're the s**t of Birmingham"
Went to that one, stayed up there in a city centre hotel. Remember drinking with their fans in the hotel bar after and them being shocked at how poor we were.
No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I remember Marshall scoring first, and you could tell from the body language in the goal celebrations, we thought it was going to be really easy.
Yep, remember us beating Stoke 4-1 in the second home game that season, and lots of comments of "We're going to walk this league" being heard in the North Stand.
See also beating Leicester 6-1 in a thunderstorm at the start of 2002/03.
However, if we do win tonight, I do reserve the right to go round saying "We'll be up before the Christmas tree is on the Cornhill"
