He's like an over-excited terrier. We know he wasn’t good enough for the Premier league. And there’s no guarantee he will be good enough for the championship even. And he may even be sold this window.

But while we have him as an option off the bench, he might just show something. There’s a player in there but for all his running, his last second decision making is so often awry. I can’t help but think McKenna could coach it out of him to be more decisive. If he does, there’s definitely something there. His energy and willingness to try and try and try ought to be commended. He came on yesterday and you could see him wanting to change the game.

If there’s any player this season I’d love to see go on a scoring run and gain confidence, it would be him.

McKenna sending a signal to the board in the same way he did putting Harry Clarke in midfield against Aberdeen?

Tbh it really beggars belief why we aren’t able to get the required players in with the luxury of time and even money. As a parachute club we should be one of the most attractive propositions outside the PL and yet our signings over the summer so far (and even in Jan) has been poor. Either 1. We are aiming too high / being too picky with players and/or 2. Weak overseas scouting network

Everyone knows where we are lacking and it seems nothing has been done to address the issue. Or signing players that are unfit for purpose at least in the short run.

After a season on the Prem and spending more than £100 million I think our 23/24 side would have easily defeated the side put out vs Brum last night

And ended the game with Jack Taylor and Cam Humphreys on the pitch.

That’s why the more I think about it the more I’m chuffed at the draw lastnight!

We’ll be good again... one day

Good point 100%. The one game I wanted to avoid first and we got it out the way and are on the board.

Add Jaden and Jens to that team and we instantly look stronger.

But my god do we need 2 strikers and 2 CMs. Next couple weeks of the window are going to be fascinating to watch.

Poll: Will Paul Lambert be Ipswich Town manager on the final day of this season ?
