Will both clubs be fined..... 14:20 - Aug 9 with 1007 viewsBrentwoodBlagger2

by the FA for 'failing to control their players' and an additional fine for them for their fans actions by 'sunglasses tw*t' and other others throwing plastic bottles and coins at players and at the ref at the end? There were heavy fines last season for some teams involved in far more minor 'skirmishes'.

The main perpetrators were their fans and their number 4 by the looks of it. However it really is stupid players of any team celebrating like that in front of the home crowd: a sprint to your own supporters is far more classy.

Both clubs will no doubt be charged with not controlling their players.

Town will accept the charge and receive a moderate fine. Birmingham will ask for a hearing and receive a much harder punishment.

They can count themselves lucky that a member of their security acted as quickly as they did which lead to the punch missing target. They also had players from the bench joining in which make it more serious. Add in supporters throwing objects at referee should mean Hefty fine and suspended part ground closure.

The substitute who entered the field of play without the referee's permission should have been yellow carded.

I’d like to see the ref charged for failing to control the game, but it won’t happen
