Disappointing night, but where is the support on this forum? 22:30 - Aug 12 with 1706 viewsBaaBaaBlue

I've just clicked on this forum and it felt like I'd stepped back in time.

We're 2 games in, and some comments on here are crazy. People slagging off players. Players for your own flipping team.

I’m on holiday. The season doesn’t start until Sept does it? That’s what we are all gearing up for whilst the window remains open.

We looked great in pre season against teams who just tried to beat us. Put us up against a womanlike team who try and stifle us and we look sh¡t.

But what would we be like against a workmanlike team ? Which is not to say that a woman's team cannot be workmanlike...or workwomanlike.

Buckle up mate.

If it's like this after 2 games, just imagine what it will be like if we don't win the next 10 -15 games comfortably.

You have to worry for the health of some of our fans.

You are either not bothered about the level we are able to perform at the moment or still living in the dream world of making it to the Premier league for one season.

Some people are addicted to wetting their knickers for attention at every opportunity these days sadly.

Wasn't a great performance last night (stating the obvious) but I'm not unduly worried yet.

I'll get worried if we don't have better depth come the end of the transfer window.

Not like we haven't had nights like this in the past? However you'd expect with the level investment put into the squad to have more quality about us.

I can't decide whether it is due to confidence levels or we look seriously undercooked after preseason along with disruption due to transfer speculations...

Time for McKenna to earn his crust as another run of poor results in the League if TWTD is anything to go by will end up with the knives out.

Need Ashton & Co. to get to work quickly to "help" the squad. Will Akpom coming up to speed be a gamechanger?

(The season is a marathon rather than a sprint so I reserve judgement for now)

Pretty good summary of where we’re at

I think for me it’s the context of following up a relegation with very little fight, with a couple of equally meek performances. For me the performances are more concerning than the results. I think it was important to get off to a good start and rebuild some of the confidence. Losing to a league 2 side and being played off the pitch by another who were 2 leagues apart last season isn’t conducive to that.

I’ll turn up as usual and show my support, but I don’t think such an expensive squad should be beyond criticism. They need to pick their performances up, and quickly.

Exactly that, To not criticise when justified is more damaging as you just accept what is thrown at you, nobody is beyond criticism, it's ok taking the glory for Two seasons but not the flack, doesn't work like that.

I think it’s okay to be critical on here and during discussions, let’s just make sure we support and encourage the team at the actual matches.

Even someone with half a brain cell knows what a toxic atmosphere can do to even a good team.

Plenty of time left in the window to improve the squad. Omari situation isn’t helping anyone either, club, Omari or team mates, nobody likes uncertainty.

I was thoroughly disappointed with last two games, results I can deal with, the performance is the slightly more worrying.

We’ll improve, McKenna isn’t a bad manager and these aren’t bad players.

Standard for us to lose that game. What’s worrisome is all the cohesion we did have prior under McKenna isn’t currently there. I have no doubts in my mind he’ll put it right though.
