ok so Mckenna has that leadership group within the squad 23:03 - Aug 12 with 883 viewsITFC_Follower

This had previously helped with towns success.

if you are one of the leadership group what are you saying on the bus back to your teamates?

because at the end of the day they should be having honest convos with each other.

Leave Al hamadi out though, if its not constructive, its all been a bit too harsh and he wasnt to blame for everything tonight Hirst missed one i think too?

It actually makes me sad the level of vitriol aimed at some of our players, it seems there are people that almost seem to take delight that players like Clarke and Al Hamadi aren’t quite performing as we’d hoped.

Obviously people must feel that the more criticism and abuse they get, the higher their confidence and performances will get better.

It’s funny as I don’t see the same level of criticism towards Chaplin, although he was equally guilty of misplaced passes and poor finishing tonight.

Unfair, perhaps, but I think it's understandable that those who have given supporters positives, high moments and success are going to be cut slack whilst those who have done nothing for the club won't.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?

Maybe because Chaplin has actually performed in the past and is one of the players who got us to the position we were in 12 months ago. Clarke and Ali have been absolute toilet since they’ve both been here.

haha

Mckenna totally blinded by the sweet lads is spooning them the Calpol.

I can just imagine all this when Clough or Bobby robson were managing haha.

8am is kind id say 5am for those type of defeats to lower league opposition.

I understand the concept of the halo effect and how it influences perception, but I also think some of our fans need to take a long hard look at the way they are behaving.

There’s a continual targeting of certain individuals and like I said some fans seem to take a perverse pleasure when those players fail again.

Got it. Players are allowed to underperform now because of what they did for us in prior seasons. That makes sense.

Not what I said though is it. Generally us fans are going to have more of a connection with Chappers compared to Clarke - Chappers has amazing memories with us, Clarke has been absolutely sh!t since we’ve had him. Not too hard to fathom.

Hmmm, ok then, but I’m very confused if the sentence below which you typed is not suggesting that Chaplin can avoid criticism because of his past efforts.

“Chaplin has actually performed in the past and is one of the players who got us to the position we were in 12 months ago”

Mass, Sam, Cam.., Tuenzabe.

What if it was that leadership group that dragged the legacy group forward.

Why do you assume it’s McKenna?

Great coach…, but where’s the evidence he motivated? He gets the best from players?

Dam ran through brick walls at every club he was at, as did Cam and Delap too…, you need to be able to be nasty to get the best from some people.

I’ve been er seen that from McKenna - Sam would take you into the car park and black your eye!!

Kieren tells the media you won’t play, to avoid difficult personal questions…, that’s a lack of character and backbone
