Cajuste marginally? No chance. Massive massive improvement on Taylor. Different type of player so I mean that in terms of the type of player for the role and ability.

Cajuste is top class. The only reason we have him is his dodgy knee.

Poll: Who do we think McKenna (not you) will partner Greaves with ?

Hugely. Different players but should compliment each other well.

Did you not watch Cajuste last year - head and shoulders above most of the squad in terms of quality. One of the few that looked comfortable at that level.

Akpom is a good coup as well, I dare say he’d make the first team in most of our promotion rivals.

Very pleased with those signings (well elated getting Jens back!). More of an issue for me is the lack of cover for him, Taylor has had plenty of chances now but unfortunately isn’t a top end Champs player. Humphries has looked good but would like to see some more experience through the door.

Ive seen enough of Taylor to know he's a bench option but not a constant fixture in the team. I should imagine he would have ambitions to play week in week out at his age, I think there was a piece at the back end of last season hinting at him wanting more game time, I just don't see that here unfortunately. He's one that cost a bit with add ons, and has never really set the world alight or had a massively stand out run of games. Shame to be honest as he's one I had high hopes for

Cajuste never controlled a game or won the physical battle in midfield... but he looked classy in patches. Linking midfield and attack and breaking the lines was his forte.

Personally, I'd prefer a more physical midfield like 23/24 in Morsy and Mass. High energy and sticking the foot in when necessary and tidying up whilst still able to pass the ball and get us up the park. Still not convinced Cajuste will be a regular starter with Matusiwa. I think he might end up a bench option. I think we'll get a decent CM who will start before the window closes.

Exactly this, Cajuste is clearly very good but it's how much he can contribute over a rigorous Championship season, I don't see him playing many 90 minute games or Two a week. I would also like to see more assists and goals, One of each was hardly mind blowing, that said he's a massive upgrade on Taylor who should never be in the starting Eleven for a team with Promotion aspirations.

They seriously improve us !

Cajuste looked at home in the Premiership - like others have said, the only reason we've got him is because there are concerns over his knee. Jens is an absolute Rolls Royce at this level and we are very fortunate to have him.

Last time Akpom played in the Championship he won the golden boot, netting 27 times. He provides genuine competition to Hirst and is a serious upgrade on AAH.

Think everyone wanted Jens back. Including McKenna, who said "it would be a hard deal to do..."
And Akpom is a great signing who is proven and can play in multiple positions up top...
Looking forward to seeing Akpom playing off of Hirst. If he stays fit, I think he'll be a real problem for opposition defences.. If not scoring, then certainly a foil for others to do the damage.
We won't know how much they improve the team until every players is up and running. But imo, certainly on paper, the "squad/bench", looks much deeper in strength.
Happy with both these signings.

Didn't realise Cajuste played in Scotland, wow.

Marginally?

Jack Taylor and Cajuste hardly play the same sport. There are levels in football and Cajuste and Taylor are levels apart. It’s really not close.

We still need another but Cajuste makes us instantly better, clearly.
