What is it now, 6 wins in 46 games? I honestly think Ashton may well be asked by the owners to make a decision at sone point.... it doesn't help with yet another complete overhaul of the squad. No continuity .... predictable performance again by us. We lack cohesion, pace, guile, understanding. Its not a " team" ....

This was always going to be the first season there would be any real pressure on the manager, particularly if the team made a slow start. Too early to judge if he can turn it around, but if we're lower half of the table, performing poorly and some distance from the teams at the top after 10-12 games, the axe will be sharpened. For those of us old enough to remember, this has echoes of Burley's start to the season after relegation from the premier league. | | | |

I see the lack of confidence in front of goal and in the final third.
I also see it has been a slow start and not everything is right on the pitch, we need to sharpen up. But we controlled that game, if we play like that against most of the teams in this division and can sort out that final third decision-making we will be right up there.
At the moment it is just a slow three-game spell. It will improve, McKenna has more footballing knowledge in his little finger than you or I will ever have, he knows more about those players than we do. | |
