Decent day in the window for Southampton…. 17:25 - Aug 29 with 2149 viewsMatt_Netherlands

Our last 24 hours has been very very good, but could argue theirs is nearly as good

Sold Fernandes at expected for £40m. And have spent that money on:

Ton Fellows
Finn Azaz
Caspar Jander

Not bad.

They're doing similar stuff to us. The jury is obviously out on Will Still, who could be a McKenna-like appointment.

Sold Dibling- a far superior player to Fellows
Sold Fernandes - a far superior player to Azaz

All 3 are good champ players but definitely their squad quality is lower than it was this time last week.

As I would say ours is compared to before we sold Delap, Hutch and Broady, and lost Tuanzebe and Burgess and Morsy.

Poll: Right now, who would you rather have as Prime Minister?

Broadhead, Morsy and Tuanzebe have been replaced by better players.

Who are you thinking are the upgrades on Tuanzebe and Broadhead?

Good business. It must be rough being a Boro or WBA type in the parachute era trying to compete for promotion/playoffs.

Theres no excuse for us and saints not to go up really.

I'd argue Tuanzebe is our biggest loss. In terms of our system.

Young, hes just not got going to last long, but he will be injured less when he is with us!

Then McAteer and Walllleee.

Tuanzebe way better defensively but young better attacking options.

I'd argue that though disappointing to lose him, as he clearly was a class above, he will be the one we regret losing the least from the list of players that have left.

He was awesome when available, and although his fitness was much better than his Utd/Villa careers, he was still missing from the squad due to fitness issues far too often. I'd much rather a player that is 85-90% the quality of player of Axel that's available for 90% of games than an exceptional player that's available only 50% of the time.

I said it because he was one I thought we could keep some of our other departures were almost nailed on.

Having watched the first 3 games and with new signings not up to speed, I remain to be convinced.

"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
